From the smallest beginnings – the Greatest Blessing
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, [Though] you are little among the thousands of Judah, [Yet] out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth [are] from of old, From everlasting.
Micah 5:2 NKJV
The Messiah was prophesied to come to a specific place at a specific time—God even named the little town where He would be born. That honor went to a town so small it wasn’t even listed among the cities belonging to Judah.
Yet from an unimportant village would be born God’s greatest gift to humanity.
Modern Bethlehem still exists today underneath new buildings that rose over the centuries after Jesus.
In that dusty, arid land a tiny baby would open His human eyes for the first time.
