A prophecy is when God tells a person what He’s going to do in the future. In the Bible, God gave many prophecies about the Savior so we would recognize Him when He came. Jesus had to exactly match several hundred prophecies about the Messiah. No one could do this either on purpose or by accident. Only Jesus matched every prophecy about the Messiah. In this verse, the prophecy says that the Messiah, who is also called the Holy One, will not stay dead. Jesus died, but He rose again. And if God can raise Jesus from the dead, then God can raise us from the dead, too.
