This year our family will do an Advent calendar for the first time. After looking on Pinterest and seeing many beautiful and creative calendars, I just couldn’t find one with the right biblical content. A few blogs had wonderful calendars, but I didn’t want to trade my email address to get it. So…as a writer and a mom, I decided I could write the best one for my family. And now I’m sharing it with yours!

What makes this advent calendar special?
Our first advent calendar doesn’t start with the Christmas story – it begins at the beginning in Genesis.
Why do we need Christmas? When did God think of it?
The calendar walks readers through some of the prophecies of the Messiah and how Jesus, and only Jesus, fulfilled them.
Then we move into the true purpose of Christmas – the cross.
The calendar wraps up with the greatest event in human history – the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
